Project 365 - Day 25
WHAT: Project 365 (2009), Travel   |   WHEN: February 8, 2009
Day 25 was pretty much non-existent. We spent it on a plane on the way to Italy. Below is the bird we flew from Chicago to London Heathrow before heading on to Rome. What can we learn from the photo below? 2 things really. 1) l've got some serious dust on my camera sensor. Look in the sky and you'll see several black specs. If you connect all the spots, you'll see an image of a unicorn. 2) The downturn in the economy has obviously claimed another victim... the window washers at O'Hare.

Project 365 - Day 24
WHAT: Personal, Project 365 (2009)   |   WHEN: February 7, 2009
I know, I know... this is a little late. Forgive me, it was my wedding day, after all... and then there was the little honeymoon in Italy for the last 11 days. I'm a tad behind on the Project 365 front, but trust me... it's not for a lack of images. We just got back into town this evening, so I'll be catching up on lost ground pretty quickly with tons of images from our journey abroad. In fact, I've got more than enough images to carry me through the rest of the year just from this trip if I wanted to. I'll have to figure out the best way to break up the images into a couple different posts in the coming days, so stay tuned for those. For now, back to Project 365...

W E D D I N G D A Y
January 24th was obviously a monumental day for me. After the rehearsal dinner and all the catching up with friends and family on Friday night (the 23rd), I took some time just to myself in the wee morning hours of the 24th (Saturday) to reflect on what was to come and the significance of the day at hand. It was very peaceful and serene in the master suite of The Maxam House Bed & Breakfast in Kylie's hometown of Princeton, Indiana where I stayed that night (thanks, mom!), and I took this moment of calm to write a letter to Kylie before we began our lives together.

A while back at an art festival in Dallas, I met a woman who made and sold these beautiful Iona Handcrafted Books. I picked one up at the time knowing I wanted to use it for this occasion some day. These are art pieces in themselves, and so I found them fitting to record the story of Kylie and I, including the first 3 pages that I wrote to her that night. Here's a couple images of the Iona book. Stunning pieces for unforgettable memories.

BTW, the light in these images was simply a reading light located just above the pillows on the bed in this historic house.
