Day 327 ~ The McGaheys [Family Time]
WHAT: Families, Kids, Project 365 (2009)   |   WHEN: November 29, 2009
The fall photography season is flying by and will be wrapping up soon, but there's still several sessions left to blog yet, and one of those is the McGaheys. Now that John and Phyllis have been in to see their images for the first time, I can give you another look at this fun foursome.  I had a ton of fun chasing Connor, Sean, mom and dad around for an afternoon, and here's my favorites from their session.

Day 326 ~ The Styers [Family Time]
WHAT: Families, Kids, Project 365 (2009)   |   WHEN: November 28, 2009

For the last several years I've been fortunate enough to make it back to Ohio in the fall to catch some autumn color, see family, and catch up with friends, and each time my buddy Michael (a.k.a. Schrode) and his sweet wife Amanda offer to open up their home to Kylie and I when we come.  Michael is one of my best friends from back home, and he and Amanda have been such a blessing to us.  Seeing them is something we always look forward to.

A few quick notes about Schrode... here's a guy with many not-too-hidden talents.  In addition to his Schrode nickname (think Peanuts and the Charlie Brown gang), he's also been assigned the moniker "Styer Clause" for his gift of impersonation around Christmas time.  He's also very musically inclined, so much so that he plays the guitar in the worship band at his church and also recorded himself singing the song "If You Could See What I See" and played it for Amanda as the church doors were opened and she was waiting to walk down the aisle at their wedding.  I loved it so much that I asked him to sing it live at our wedding for Kylie and I's first dance... truly a great gift for us.  Besides teaching during the day, he's also coached varsity soccer, cross country, and girls softball, and I would be remiss if I didn't mention that Michael's the one person that could rival Kylie in shopping around to find the best deal... on anything.  I could go on, but to say that Michael's a stand up guy just doesn't sound like it goes far enough.  Most important of all, though, is that he's a man of God, and he's not afraid to share his faith.

Enough about Michael (I know, I know... sheesh, get on with the pretty pictures, would ya?).  I had posted a sneak peek of their images here, but I'm still trying to catch up on blogging and wanted to share more of my favorites of Michael, Amanda and sweet, precious Reagan.  So, without further delay, here they are.

Day 325 ~ Happy Thanksgiving
WHAT: Fun, Project 365 (2009)   |   WHEN: November 26, 2009
Just wanted to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving today.  I hope your day is filled with peace, joy, and, well, thanks.  I'd personally like to say thanks to all my family for being so supportive and loving, to all my friends for being the best 2nd family I could ask for, and to all my wonderful clients that trust me enough to capture their most precious memories.  It's easy for me to sometimes focus on the things that aren't as I'd like, especially in the day to day grind, but today I'm thankful for all the things that are right and the blessings I've been given.

Just to spruce up this post with a little visual splendor, my cousin Aaron and his wife Jen and their two kids are staying with us this week, and here's their son Spencer adding the final bling to the cupcakes Kylie made for our feast.

And here he is waiting patiently to enjoy the fruits of his labor.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Day 324 ~ Chris & Lindsay (The Rest of the Story)
WHAT: Engagements, Families, News, Portraits   |   WHEN: November 25, 2009
I'm waaaay behind on blogging lately, but I'm finally getting around to posting some great sessions I've had recently, including friends Chris & Lindsay.  You can catch the initial post when I met up with them back in Ohio here.

And now, some more of my favorite images from their killer session.  I. Miss. Autumn. In. Ohio.

Tucker!  Such a great dog.

Photo interuption.  Tucker needed a little attention before going on with the session.

Day 322 ~ The Patels [Family Time]
WHAT: Families, Kids, Project 365 (2009)   |   WHEN: November 22, 2009
For the last couple years, I've been fortunate enough to get to hang out with the Patel family at least once a year and see their 2 rock star little boys growing up in right in front of the lens.  A couple weeks ago was our annual get together, and this year's episode was a little extra special because by this time next year, they'll be a new rookie member of the Patel family.

Here's just a couple of my favorites from the last Patel party of 4.

Here's big brother Jai.

... and not-so-little-anymore Rishi.

Add in dad Suki and mom Minal for a delicious family portrait recipe.

Love this light.

And I really dig this image, too.

These two cracks me up.  3-2-1, Jai's ready to lift off.  Rishi?  Not so much.
