Baby Alex
WHO: Alex | WHAT: Newborns | WHEN: February 2, 2011
Our little girl has a playmate waiting for her. Wo-hoo! Our friends Daniel & Amy had a tiny baby boy born on January 10th, and this last weekend I went to meet little Alex again and capture a few images of him while I was there. Alex decided to make his debut a couple weeks early, so he was a little tiny, but otherwise healthy and he's doing beautifully. Here's a few images of their precious little guy.

BTW, for any photogs out there, I created this blog storyboard image in just a couple seconds using a new Photoshop plug-in called, what else, Storyboard. You may wanna check it out if you do blog storyboards and are looking for some ways to shave some time off your workflow.

The Moores ~ Frisco Family Photographer
WHO: RJ, Cassidy & Baby JP | WHAT: Kids, Newborns | WHEN: December 9, 2010 | WHERE: McKinney, TX
One of my favorite family sessions from last year was with the Moores. Their kiddos are as cute as they come; so cute they decided to add a third. And, well, why wouldn't you add more with those kinda genes? If they ever decide to add a 4th, the hardest part will be coming up with another set of initials to keep them all straight. [grin] Besides mom Maureen and daughter Cassidy, there's JC (dad), RJ (big brother) and now baby brother JP. I'm sure at our session there were at least a couple moments when I had a brain freeze and just mumbled something unintelligible plus the letter J.
Kylie and I headed over to their home to capture a few images of JP as well as RJ & Cassidy and a couple group images. Tell me these kids aren't adorable. I dare you.
JP giving us his au naturale look.

RJ laughing at my corny, and I mean CORNY, jokes.

Cassidy goin' Hollywood on me with her upside-down shades. So sweet.

"Hey, I'm here! I'm here! Let's have some fun!"

I wish I still had a Big Wheel. I'd have a big smile plastered on my face, too.
|
Love some of these last ones of the 3 of them.

Cassidy's got killer eyes.

Thorsten [Dallas Family Photographer]
WHO: Baby Thorsten | WHAT: Kids, Newborns | WHEN: September 19, 2010 | WHERE: Dallas, TX
A few days ago, I posted a little sneak peek about little Thorsten. And now that mom Beth, dad Ferdinand, and Thorsten himself came in for their viewing appointment, I'm excited to share Thorsten's photographic debut with the rest of the internet.
Kylie an I were blessed to have meet Beth and Ferdinand when we were assigned to the same newlyweds foundation group through church back in March of last year. This was a group of 7 couples going through the same stage of life having been married 0-3 years, and a little more than 18 months later, we're honored to be sharing our lives with such a wonderful couple. In February of this year, they gave birth to this handsome little guy, and he's been the center of their world ever since. We finally got together on Labor Day weekend to capture a few images of baby Thorsten to document this wonderful time in his life. Here's some of my favorites from our session.
In this first image, I had to laugh to myself because I asked Ferdinand to stand behind me and talk to Thorsten to get him looking my way, and I couldn't understand a word Ferdinand said. He's from Germany and was speaking his native language to little Thorsten, and whatever he was sayin' was workin'. Gesundheit and Fahrvegnügen is about the extent of my German vocabulary, so I appreciate dad's help!

Check it out; Throsten's got customized shoes with his name on them. Rock on!

Love this shot of Ferdinand and Thorsten.

Such a sweet moment between mom and son.

More to come on this little guy, but here's quick little peek of what's coming to the blog this weekend.

Baby Emily [Dallas Newborn Photographer]
WHO: Emily | WHAT: Families, Newborns | WHEN: September 5, 2010 | WHERE: Murphy, TX
A couple weeks ago I was thrilled to see the Groff family again. We had done a family session with them last October, but since then there has been a +1 addition to the family unit. Little Emily Madison had a few tough weeks to get through after she was born, but she put up a good fight and is now well on her way to being a happy, healthy baby.Mom Cathy and dad Greg came in today to view their images, so I'm stoked to be able to share a few of them on the blog now.
|
Ornery, right? She works for the camera on her own terms and lets you know when she's ready to try something else.
|
Dad Greg doesn't stand a chance with those eyes.
|
While Emily was on break, I spent a little time with big sister Caitlyn and big brother Josh. I photograph a lot of families, and on more than a few occasions the siblings can sometimes, shall we say, barely tolerate each other. Not the case with these two. When Kylie and I got to the house, they were playing together and all smiles. When we left almost 2 hours later, they were playing together and all smiles. So much fun together.
|
Heads up, ladies... future GQ man in the making.
|
This last one was my favorite of the session. Little Emily was lettin' out a giant-size yawn and Caitlyn & Josh got a more giant-sizer kick out of it. Fantastical.
