[Not So] Extreme Home Makeover
Things are changin' around here. Kylie's soon-to-be work/workout/craft room and the master bedroom and bath are finally getting a little facelift. They've been in the project queue since I moved in back in August, but - as with many things I've learned since - not everything seems to get done as soon as I think it will.
Things are finally underway, though. I decided to roll up my sleeves and make something happen, so I whipped out my iPhone and called some painters. If you want something done right, call someone that knows what they're doing, right? What, you think I'm gonna take all that leopard safari wallpaper down in the master bathroom? Do you think for a second I have a clue or the patience to retexture walls. If so, you're tragically misinformed. I have never been accused of being "handy". Even Bob Villa wouldn't bother sending me junk mail. Here's a few images of some random textures and cool lighting I noticed around the rooms when walking through after the painters left for the day. |
I. Hate. Crow's feet texture. Especially when it's covered with shiny paint. I'm ready for this to be gone in the master bedroom. |
Who needs to add texture to photos when you've got windows that look like these? Umm... guess I should open the blinds more often to see when these need cleaning. Then again, ignorance is bliss. |
Finally, I really liked the feel of the light coming the bedroom window right before the sun went down. |
